This type of communication is not only internal but it also includes communication used for promoting the organization and its products or services. It’s now extremely important for an organization to employ various communication tools to ensure that there is effective business communication. Previously, the trend in business communication involved conveying information through memos, business letters and so on. This is the other current trend in business communication that is slowly developing. Teleconferencing includes the use of telephonic or video to convey messages and important information. However, teleconference nowadays requires that if there is a presenter speaking using the speaker, all the other attendants should put their phones on mute. This kind of business communication trend not only conveys instant messages to the recipients but it also enables the sender to receive immediate feedbacks.

The message type results of the current trends in business communication include both soft-copy (not in print form) and instant messages. Just like with any other communication, business communication should be courteous, precise, concise, influencing and persuasive in order to be effective. The technological advancements should also be properly for the benefit of the working environment.
