Tunku Abdul Rahman Contribution 1- Making Islam the official religion in 1960.

Tunku Abdul Rahman should be thanks for his contribution to make Islam the official religion. can we imagined if Malaysia is not an official religion today. 2- Abdul Rahman established the Islamic Welfare Organisation (PERKIM), an organisation to help Muslim converts adjust to new lives as Muslims. He was President of PERKIM until a year before his death. 3- In 1954 Abdul Rahman led a delegation to London to seek independence for Malaya. - Forming a political alliance with the Malayan Chinese Association(MCA) representing Chinese community. The Alliance was later joined by the Malayan Indian Congress (MIC) in 1955, representing the Indian community.

5- The formation of Malaysia was one of Abdul Rahman's greatest achievements. He was the principal architect of the alliance of Malaya with Singapore,Sarawak and Sabah,which in 1963 resulted the creation of Malaysia. 6- Bringing the country from colonialism to independence, Tunku Abdul Rahman is known as the Father of Independence.He became the first prime minister of the Federation of Malaya from 1957 to1963, and of Malaysia from 1963 to 1970. 7- Tunku initiated an international football tournament, the Pestabola Merdeka (Independence Football Festival) in 1957. A keen sportsman, Tunku had been a football fan all his life. He was President of the Football Association of Malaya, President of the Asian Football Confederation, and President of the Asian Badminton Confederation.

His other personal interests include golf, sailing and photography.In addition, he was the owner of a remarkable collection of Malay weapons, especially the kris. 8- He established the Kesatuan Melayu Great Britain ( Malay Association of Great Britain ) and became it’s first secretary. because he realising that the malay students were not represented by any organization. 9- In 1961 Malaysia hosted the first International Qur'an Recital Competition, an event that developed from Abdul Rahman's idea when he organised the first state-level competition in Kedah in 1951.
