Climate Change Essay Examples

Climate Change Essay Examples

Climate change is the human-induced observed and predicted long-term changes in average climate indicators, as well as climate variability, including anomalies such as droughts, severe storms and floods.

The climate is changing, and it is happening right now. This is not about a distant phenomenon that will take place sometime in the future, and not only about a rise in temperature. In some parts of the world, annual rainfall is expected to decline over the long term, while in other regions, fluctuations in rainfall and temperature will noticeably affect the growing season of some plants.

In other places, the annual rainfall may remain the same, but they can fall out at large intervals, in the form of much stronger and shorter rainfalls, causing increased droughts and floods. The intensity of strong storms and their varieties, hurricanes, may increase.

The potential impacts of climate change are diverse and widespread, therefore preventing these effects has become a high priority on the global development agenda. Unless decisive action is taken today, subsequent adaptation to climate change will require a lot of effort and cost.

How to Write the Perfect Essay on Climate Change?

Make a plan. Focus on the selected topic, think about what aspects of the problem you would like to consider.

Write an introduction, thinking about what you write later. To attract the attention of the reader, start your acquaintance with a “hook” that attracts the attention of your reader and introduces you to the general theme.

Body. Develop your ideas according to plan. Give the main arguments, preferably affixed with real numbers and evidence. Trust only verified sources, citing any statistics in your essay.

You can stick to this structure:

  1. Is the climate changing in recent years?
  2. What do you see the manifestation of climate change?
  3. How do these changes affect our daily lives?
  4. How will climate change impact in the near and distant future?

Write a conclusion. The conclusion is an introduction in other words. Only if you could doubt the introduction, now you are declaring your opinion quite confidently.

The conclusion should be only your attitude to the problem, a conclusion based on your arguments, but not their retelling.

Climate Change Questions and Answers

How we can save our planet?

Here are some simple things that everyone can do to protect the Earth:

  • Reduce, reuse, and recycle.
  • Save water. The less water you use, the less drains and wastewater that eventually end up in the ocean.
  • Shop wisely. Buy less plastic and use a reusable shopping bag.
  • Use long-lasting light bulbs. Energy-saving light bulbs reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Also turn off the lights when you leave the room!
  • Plant a tree. Trees provide food and oxygen.
  • Do not dispose of chemicals in our waterways. Choose non-toxic chemicals in your home.
  • Use a bike more instead of a car.

What do you mean by climate change?

Climate change, also called global warming, refers to an increase in the average temperature of the Earth’s surface. The scientific community argues that climate change is associated primarily with the use of fossil fuels by humans, which release carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the air, which in fact leads to a negative effect.

What is climate action?

Climate action means stepping up efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase resilience and adaptability to climate-related impacts, including: climate-related hazards in all countries; mainstreaming climate change into national policies, strategies and planning.

What factors affect Earth's climate?

  • distance from the sea
  • currents in the ocean
  • direction of the prevailing winds.
  • land shape
  • distance from the equator
  • El Nino phenomenon
