The average American was better off economically than the average Englishmen.For one the Americans paid no tax on any army because of the alliance with Britain. They paid no tax because of Britain’s forceful navy and saw no use to form an army of their own. The lack of tax and the direct benefits combined together help prove that the average American is better off than the average Englishmen.
