Q74. Would you rather work as an employee, be self-employed, or own a business?
Argument: I would choose either depending on different reasons.
Support 1: Not everyone is at the same level tn hfe
Support 2: When I have saved enough capital and have enough experience then I would prefer to become self- employed
Support 3: I will have to become a business owner when I get more help as a result of my business expanding
Thesis: I believe that I should be fully prepared before making any move on whether to seek employment, self- employment or own a business.
We all have different goals/ambitions in life, each of which has different levels of reward or satisfaction. And although there is no satisfaction meter to tell who is more satisfied or not, the most important thing is to enjoy or appreciate whatever it ts we are doing. For instance, given an option to choose between self employment, being employed and owning a business, I would choose either depending on different reasons.
First, not everyone is at the Same level life and therefore, I would start out as an employee. I do not believe in the jump. hop and slap formula. If I do not want to make mistakes. then I Will not learn on my own. Being anemployee can also help me to leam how the Industry works before I dive in the world of self employment and business.
When I have saved enough capital and have enough experience then I would prefer to become self-employed. I will be doing what I love and no one will be shouting behind my neck. When self-employed, I get to earn more since I am all alone but when the business grows, then I will need a couple of helpful hands so as not to lose my clients.
I will have to become a business owner when I get more help as a result of my business expanding. When I become an employer, my work is to supervise. With my own business, I get to control my own destiny. I am able to cultivate the culture that I want my business to take. I can also manage my since no one owns me; I cannot have that when employed!
Everything has a risk tied to it. Additionally, there is time for everything. As such, I always believe that I have to be fully prepared before making any move on whether to seek employment, self employment or own a business. Having a specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time bound plan is critical for success.
