In today's society, it is drilled into everyone's brain that without a college degree one will never go anywhere in life. Now this is not always the case. People can still go far without a degree. Nowadays to get a good paying job, it is almost always a requirement to have gone to college and completed a degree. People are being forced to go to college so that they can have a good paying job to support themselves. With evolving resources in technology, people are expected to be more educated today than in earlier times because they have so many more opportunities to be educated. With going to college, one experiences many things that life has to offer to them.

People say that going to college will be the best years of one's life because they experience so much that life has to offer. Some people go to a four-year college because they want to party and live it up. People look down upon others that have not gone to college because they usually ended up working at a fast food restaurant, like McDonalds or Burger King. Those people do not do as much work, nor do they make as much money as someone who has a job that required a degree. So based on what society is telling a person, they would want to go to college so that they will be accepted by others. When society is accepting of a person, that person will feel more accomplished.

When graduating from college, it can be the best feeling because after many years of schooling it is not all worth it. It is a sense of relief that all that work they just put in is now getting them the job they worked their whole life for. It is the fact that a person set a goal to go to college, earn a degree, and pursue a job in the field that they choose. After one completes college they can finally say that they are done and on to even better now. Once college is completed a whole new chapter beings in one's life. Many opportunities are now available to them, for example, a job that they did not qualify for before because one requirement was to have a degree, they now can apply for that job.
