Most educators believe that Blackboard is one of the most basic systems in distance learning. On the other hand, some people have called eCollege a “force to be reckoned with” (Babb & Mirabella, 2007,p. 162). With a growing demand for these systems among educational institutions, the developers will continue to put pressure on each other to improve their products.

This benefits the student, because it ensures that course management software will continue to evolve and enhance the online learning experience. * What types of strategies can educators use to ensure their students are not “flaming” in a way that causes damage to others? Flaming is a term that describes an increasingly intense and vicious debate.
