In India there is a huge gap between public and private hospitals as till 20th century the personally owned hospitals are considered better. But the government has taken initiative and now many government hospitals like AIIMS are providing much better facilities than privately owned hospitals. Hence, now many people are taking advantage of new facilities and technologies to get themselves treated and they are benefited from that.

The urban healthcare system faces challenges due to increasing number of towns. This number is soaring because of increasing population. In urban areas there are sufficient hospitals but the doctors sometimes does not know the proper cure of that particular disease. But there are treatment of some diseases like HIV, TB, DENGUE and many more.

Many people who are not able to avail the facility of private hospitals go to public hospitals or government hospitals. But they are having good facility with fully equipped tools and mainly these hospitals are operated by government so many students also practises in government units. The government also charges very less fees from the patients and also the fees for students studying there are less as compared to private institutions. So, the middle class people are highly benefited from the government hospitals who provide the best facilities.

Mostly India’s population consists of middle class people so this section of the society is not able to avail the services of private hospitals due to their financial issue even if they have opted for insurance. So, private hospitals are only for the high class society and the charges for treatment is much higher than government hospitals. But this system has also the facility which other foreign countries consists of and provides all the requirements to the patients. And the work done here are more structured and there are more incentives.

In some rural areas of India there are not even basic facilities available because they are far behind from the latest technology and other things and due their weak infrastructure not many doctors want to treat the patients in those areas and the healthcare is lacking behind here as compared to urban areas where there are many new methods to treat the patients.

There are government clinics in rural areas but the doctors there are not so much expert and are not able to treat the patients. And if doctors are expert then the facilities are so poor that people cannot be treated from the existing things they have, while government is giving extra preferences to those doctors who go to villages to treat the patients. But very few doctors voluntary go to villages as the infrastructure that is the hospitals are in very bad condition.

Talking about private sector, there are very few villages in which private hospitals are there. Mainly in hilly areas there are some private hospitals established because government sometimes give them free electricity to use there or give any other such incentives.

So, government has taken step to build a better infrastructure in rural areas but it failed to meet its objective due to lack of awareness among the people regarding their health and these people don’t really pay much attention to all the things that are surrounding them.

India’s healthcare system has changed in a positive way from past and it is taking every step to provide all the important facilities to all the citizens of the country.

One of the dangerous disease polio has been eradicated from India since 2014. From then, India is trying to put an end to various other diseases like malaria, tuberculosis and other illnesses. As society and government work hand in hand so there can be a major change seen in the healthcare system. Clean India Movement has a great impact on improving the conditions of the system. India is not able to fight with diseases like cancer so the Indian government wants awareness should wants awareness should be spread among people and should be told about prevention. It is decreasing and as people are made aware of sanitation and how they should maintain hygiene and should have cleanliness around themselves and in the surroundings.

Government is the only option which can eradicate some of the dangerous diseases in India. As government can easily spread information among the people who are below poverty line because they are the only one who are deprived of all the amenity given by the government. So the government should pay special attention to these people as they can take advantage of the public hospitals and also should be told how to live their lives with proper sanitation.

Through this the overall condition of the country could increase and government should also tell people that hat schemes they are coming up with and should tell to every section of the society about that so that the needy people can take advantage of that scheme while private hospitals are only afforded by rich people or the smaller section of the country. Hence, this is the reason why government should run the healthcare and plus the government is now thinking to spend more on the healthcare system of India.

As many people nowadays are moving towards private sector for better facilities and treatment so many people take insurance so that they can have a treatment in private hospitals at a affordable cost and there are several plans of which the people can take benefit like with$122 a people can be hospitalized for 60 days, some other plan covers surgeries and there are many many more plan. Thus, people should take insurance from government authorities as they give insurance at more cheaper rate than privately owned insurance companies.

Healthcare is something which must be protected and should see a increment day by day. As the health of the citizens of the country is directly linked with the healthcare system of the country. Not only people should be made aware of the things but they should told about the consequences of the disease if they got into its trap and government should also have a check on the water supply because contaminated water can cause many diseases which can be difficult to handle. And also proper regulations should be taken.
