First Impressions of a Person
Some people trust their first impressions about a person’s character because they believe these judgments are generally correct. Other people do not judge a person’s character quickly because they believe first impressions are often wrong. Compare these two attitudes. Which attitude do you agree with? Our belief system is just like a mirror that only shows us what we believe” In our daily life we meet thousands of people and we often tend to observe not only his behavior but also his personality and character. However sometimes these impressions turn to be wrong. Most of us judge others based only on what we see. Consequently, we unconsciously begin to judge people's characters by everything we realize by sight. It is true that analyzing a person’s character beforehand is advanced as it help to make decision about him, but can we trust the first appearance?

It may sometimes be fake. For instance if we see a woman who smiles a lot and looks jovial we may think that she’s kind and friendly, but at the same time when people want to attract one’s attention they do their best to appear friendly or communicative. But in reality he or she may be a nasty or moody, arrogant or unfriendly person. From my own experience I can say that whether I make decision based on the first impression it always turns to be completely wrong. For instance few weeks ago I encountered a girl who appeared to be nice and kind but after a short while of contacts with her I realized that my impression about her was wrong. Thus, I don’t trust my first impression any more, I try not to hurry to make a particular decision, instead I'm trying to observe one’s behavior and attitude and find ways to socialize as much as possible to make a proper decision. Moreover a person’s character is different in different environments. For example you may meet a person in an office or in bank and he or she may appear to you as serious and even severe personality, but in reality he or she may be kind and easy going person. It’s another example which proves we shouldn't make a hastily made conclusion on person’s character.
