In Alfred Hitchcock's American suspense crime film, Rear Window, the main character Lisa Fremont transitions from a girly fashionista to a daring investigator. Lisa's boyfriend, Jefferies, believes in the beginning of the film that Lisa is just "too perfect" and doesn't think she could fit his dangerous lifestyle of an action photographer. When Jefferies is stuck home with a broken leg spending his days staring out his window, he believes that one of his neighbors, Mr. Thorwald, killed his wife. Lisa tags along with him on their personal investigation and try to gather as much information for a detective so they can get justice. Lisa's feminine intuition, bravery, and physical abilities helps bring Mrs. Thorwald murderer to justice.

Jefferies friend who happens to be a detective, Doyle, isn't convinced that Mr. Thorwald had killed his wife. With the lack of evidence Lisa and Jefferies had presented to Detective Doyle, he cannot create a case. Lisa and Jefferies have only the evidence of the fighting that occurred before Mrs. Thorwald had left, and the suspicious hours that Mr. Thorwald was leaving and returning to his apartment that night. With that evidence and Lisa's insight to why a woman would never leave her jewelry and wedding ring like Mrs. Thorwald had done, Doyle finds it hard to believe that Mr. Thorwald is guilty of any crime. He believes a woman's intuition would sell magazines, not a murder case. Jefferies and Lisa would need more than just suspicion actions to catch Mr. Thorwald.

Before Lisa has began helping Jefferies, a lot of the simple actions that were witnessed seemed irrelevant, until the other set of eyes, Lisa, had began helping. Lisa's feminine intuition pointed out clues that men like Jefferies never could. Lisa points out a lot of good clues such as why a woman would ever leave her wedding ring and jewelry behind if she moved. Also, Lisa sees that her husband has one of her apparent handbags hidden inside of a drawer. Lisa points out that a woman would never leave her handbag home, never the less in a drawer. Because Lisa got into the mind of what Mrs. Thorwald would actually do, Jefferies could then later conclude that Mr. Thorwald had killed his wife. Without Lisa's insight and knowledge, it could be easily said that the case would not have been solved without her.
