Othello, Desman and Ordering are all deceived by Ago, and since h e is able to promise them all something they want he IS able to manipulate and use them to his advantage. Othello obsession are Desman and his feeling Of pride, and because Of t his Ago is able to manipulate both of them. Ordering is also obsessed with Desman but in a different way, where Othello truly loves her and is her husband, Ordering is simply in lust, h e has almost been manipulated into thinking he has much stronger feelings for her than he truly does.

The reason Ago is intent on ruining Othello is mostly jealousy and anger. He f eels that it was wrong of Othello to give Cassia the job of lieutenant instead of him. He is determined to tear Othello down and knows that the major way he would be able to do this wool d be by causing Othello to believe that Desman is not loyal and that he is a cuckold. At the very beginning of the play it is obvious that Ago has Othello complete trust, Othello truly belie eves that Ago is faithful, loyal and would protect him if necessary.

When the Duke tells Othello that he must appoint an officer to deliver documents from the Senate while he is in Cyprus, Othello immediately chooses Ago, saying "A man he is of honesty and trust". As the play proceeds Othello falls deeper into the lies that Ago is feeding hi m. Although this is true Othello denies that Desman would ever sleep with Cassia while e married. Finally, Ago convinces Othello that Desman is in fact sleeping with Cassia, and he manipulates Othello into deciding to kill Cassia.

In order to truly ruin Othello, Cassia must t cake away one of his obsessions, the thing he loves most, Desman, as well as his pride. Whew n Othello and Ago are talking about Desman and Cassia, Ago says, "My friend is dead, 'it done at your request: but let her live. In saying this Ago has planted the the ought of killing Desman in Othello mind, and Othello becomes intent on having her dead d. This ends up bringing around his undoing, as once Othello has killed Desman he realize s what he has done and it leads to his breakdown.

Desman is used as one of Sago's pawns, he toys with her and Othello to BRB inning them both down. Ago uses Adhesion's need to please everyone and be honest a against her, to bring down her and Othello in one clean swoop. Othello trusts Ago, and in turn n, since Desman trusts Othello implicitly, she trusts and depends on Ago as well. She uses the information she gets from him to base her decisions, which the audience can clearly see is a mistake. Eventually, Desman is lead to the ultimate failure, her death.

This is not directly because of her need to be kind and trusting of everyone, but this obsession d felinely does have an impact. "O, devil, devil! If that the Earth could teem with woman's tears, EAI chi drop she falls would prove a crocodile. Out of my sight! " This is the line where e Othello accuses Desman of lying to him. Because of her character, and her obsess ion of keeping everyone happy, she is not sure how to respond or defend herself. Should SSH e defend herself and risk making Othello even more angry with her?

Or would she be better o if letting him yell at her and take it, but have him believe she is guilty of the crime he is accusing h ere of. Sago's other main playing piece is Ordering. It is not clear whether it is Order go's sheer stupidity, or his blinding 'love' for Desman that makes him completely gull blew and easy to manipulate, but it seems that the obsession he shares with Othello is the one that brings him down. From the very start it is made clear that Ordering has been pining for D sideman's love for quite some time now, as seen when Ordering wakes Abrogation up in the n sight.

Abrogation's response makes it obvious that Ordering has been chasing after Desman for some time, "The worse welcome. I have charged thee not to haunt about my doors. In h onset plainness thou hast heard me say. My daughter is not for thee. And now in madness, be inning full of supper and dismembering drafts, upon malicious knavery dost thou come to start my quiet? ". Ago uses Rodeo's obsession of Desman to get him to do all the dirty work so he does not have to, from simple lies to murder, Ordering is happy to Oblige a ND do all the Ago asks of him if it means he will eventually get Desman as his pay.
