Life often presents many challenges. The way you choose to take on these challenges effects you for the rest of your life. Humans are creatures of habit, therefore if you choose to deny and run away from challenges, you will more than likely do that forever. Everything happens for a reason. This reason will lead you to push yourself, accept things for the way they are, and encourage you. Challenges also make you realize what truly matters. In the end, you will learn how far you can push yourself and how strong you really are.

Moving four times has been a struggle that I have had to overcome in my life. The hardest part about moving is having to go somewhere where you do not know anyone. One of the most terrifying days of my life was my first day of sophomore year at West Monroe High School. At this point in life, almost everyone has their group of friends and trying to make friends is extremely difficult. Despite the hard times, I managed to make some great friends that I hope to keep in touch with for the rest of my life.

There is an abundance of ups and downs when it comes to moving to a new place. Having to leave all of the friends I made was the worst part of moving. It felt like we had just became friends and I was already leaving them. Knowing that I was about to meet so many new people and make even more friends was what got me through leaving my old friends behind. After moving to a new city, you have to learn how to get from place to place. I definitely got lost but finally learned my way around. The best part of living in different places is getting to experience how other people live and having friends in three different states. Moving has made me realize how different every city and town is.

When you move and have to leave friends and family behind, you go through hard times. It is really helpful to have people there to help you get through them. My mom, dad, and sister helped me through any rough patches. They were always there to give me advice and let me know that everything is going to be okay. Moving made my family grow closer together and I am so thankful for that.

Though I hated it at the time, moving has been one of the best things to happen to me. I have met so many people and experienced things I never thought I would. Moving has taught me that change is a good thing. It happens constantly, so you have to get used to it. It has also taught me that family is important and you should never take them for granted. No matter what life throws at you, it is important to have the right people there for you and to never give up.
