There are a lot of things you could say to America's founding fathers. It might be difficult to come up with something intelligent to say to the men who are the building blocks of our nation. Some people would fire away with questions, while others would just stand in shock and disbelief. I would probably admire that fact that I am standing in front of the men that are the reason for my existence. After I'm done appreciating this, I would ask questions. I wouldn't stand there in complete surprise the whole time, it would be a complete waste to not say anything at all, or something irrelevant and pointless. A decent question someone could ask them is how life was like back then. I would ask them questions about what you did back then firsthand. I would want to know things that aren't elaborated on in the history books, or facts not even pointed out. This is something I could ask my history teacher, but it would be more interesting to hear it from them.

If I ever had the honor of speaking to them, I would inform them of all the cool contraptions invented. I would ask them rhetorical questions, questions that any typical person would answer yes. For example, I would ask if they have ever wanted to go somewhere too far to walk. I would tell them that a man named Henry Ford created a machine that can take us places for an extensive amount of time without all the work. He created the first automobile with a combustion engine! Another major invention is the telephone. I know back then they had to send handwritten letters in order to communicate with people! That must have been a real waste of time, and a waste of paper. They must have found it hard to write those letters by hand, Alexander Graham Bell must have felt the same way, because he set out to design a device that could transmit speech electronically. Even though I love my phone, my favorite invention is the television! In the 1700's, in order to find out news, you had to go out and find out! Television let us show it to the whole world in seconds. It is basically a telecommunication medium for transmitting and receiving moving images.

Besides all of the new gadgets, we kept some things the same; such as the Constitution. I would be sure to tell them that we didn't get rid of it. They should know that the government, for the greatest part, is the same; we didn't make many changes to their masterpiece! I would sure be proud if I wrote a document and it was still being used hundreds of years later. But something a person must do is thank them; thank them for everything that have done for us. They pretty much created this country! They created the first modern nation-state based on liberal fundamentals. The liberal formula is the preferred political method for success even today! I thank them for being able to have the rights that I have. My life would be completely different if they hadn't written the Constitution.

One thing that caught my attention in history class is the Three-fifths Compromise. My question is: why three-fifths? There are a lot of other numbers that could have been used, and no one has to answer to that question. That has caused me many restless nights! I would also ask to take a closer look at their clothes, and if I was feeling courageous that day, I might ask to try on one of their wigs. I would ask questions you ask any 'celebrity, but the main thing you should say is: thank you!
