Did you know that 92.68% of people have learned a lesson? I also have learned many lessons, but one life lesson that I have kept in my mind is cherish those that you love, since you could never know if you could see them again. Kids these days think that staying with their grandparents are boring and annoying. They think that grandparents don't know the modern world and the style, but they will feel sorrow if they don't have their grandparents. This lesson is the most memorable lesson that I have learned since I have learned this lesson the hard way.

I learned this lesson the hard way and by a personal experience. When I was 9 years old, my paternal grandmother died. I never thought she would die, but she died due to cancer. I couldn't go to her funeral since the funeral was in Korea and I was in Canada. Also, my paternal grandfather died due to a car crash. I couldn't believe my paternal grandfather was dead since his death was so sudden. I had a lot of fun plans with him, but it was all cancelled. These two examples are the way I learned the life lesson.

This life lesson has affected me a lot on how I think and act toward the elders. I still regret that I didn't show more affection and that I wasn't a great grandson that I could've been since I thought they will stay alive. Also, when they were alive, I only thought about trying to be the nice and more affective to them, but they died before I implemented it. When I think about my paternal grandparents, I kind of get tears around my eyes and I wish that I could talk to them. Since I have lost both of my paternal grandparents, I plan to do be better towards my maternal grandparents, who are both alive.

This lesson has made me think and meditate a lot. When I am studying or before I sleep, I think about my grandparents a lot. If I could make a wish, I would wish that they were alive again and to make my family live for a long time. Sometimes I imagine myself staying with my grandparents and I often dream about them. Also, I ask myself a lot of what if questions like "What if I could've stopped time and warned my grandfather before the accident really happened".

Thinking about those that you love is important, since it could be their last day. I have known my grandparents for a long time and they were great and nice to me. If you don't want end up like me, act nice and tried to be a great grandchild or son. Also, it will relax the situation when you are at a family meeting or a visit to your grandparent's house. A famous writer named Tia Walker said, "To care for those who once cared for us is one of the greatest honors".
