There are so many things the world needs to be saved from in this day and age which makes this paper challenging to choose one topic. Before I started to write, I contemplated the many issues that I regard with the most value and importance of being fixed. There is one issue that has always bothered me the most, which is why I have chosen to save the world by ending world hunger. We have an abundance of food in the world and I truly believe that this problem can be fixed. I find it very unfair that I have such easy access to my food yet there are millions of people going hungry because they can hardly get a scrap of what I eat. It hurts my heart to know that so many people don’t even know where their next meal will come from. I can save the world by ending world hunger and I can do this through making a difference in my community, spreading word of the epidemic, and living as an example to others.

Service work fills my heart with joy and really helps me to understand how lucky I truly am. I can start small by saving the world through my community. Donating food to a pantry so that the hungry people of my town may have food to eat. Here in Concord, I could also assist in working at places such as the Friendly Kitchen serving food to those who need it. If I work hard enough at feeding as many people as I can I could greatly impact my community and little by little make a difference in the world. Not only working for organizations that provide food to those in need but raising money for them is another way I can help save the world. Another way I can save the world from hunger is through simply relaying the problem to others. There are plenty of ways to spread the word about world hunger. I can speak in my church during the homily about people who are starving and in need of our help in the community. Through spreading news maybe people in my town will begin to take notice of the issue and work like me to make a difference. Putting articles for can drives in the paper is another good way I can spread the news of the fight against hunger. I think the best way to impact others in spreading the word is by meeting and hearing stories from less fortunate people to tell others. Getting out in my community and bringing attention to serious problems like hunger is yet another way I can save the world from hunger.
The last way I can save the world from hunger is by just living as an example feeding the hungry. With so much evil in this world the good things people do really stand out. By getting out and helping to feed my community others around me in my life will begin to take notice. Whether it be friends, family, or people I don’t even know who see my efforts, others will begin to join. A lot of times there are people whose efforts go unnoticed. Although, someone’s happiness never goes unnoticed. If you are always happy people will wonder why that is and some may even envy it. In all honesty serving others brings me the most happiness and I believe this will make me and my works a shining example to others. Working hard to feed my community with a smile on my face, I would soon enough have followers willing to do the same and seek that same happiness.
I can save the world by ending world hunger and I can do this by working in my community, letting others know about the problem and living as an example to others.
World hunger is a large problem and cannot be defeated alone. Making little differences by working to feed my community I am saving the world a bit at a time. If everyone else in this world does the same we can truly end world hunger as a whole. Hunger is something in this world that is so solvable it frustrates me that some people are too greedy to help. As for me there is no rest, because I feel obligated as a part of this world to help and feel privileged to live the way I do. Going off to college I will remember this paper and how much it made me think about how I can save the world. I will end world hunger through the small difference I have the ability to make.
