Job Essay

The book of job is about one man who has everything and then loses it all except one thing in a split second. Job is wealthy, rich, is married, healthy, has kids, and has full faith in god. The book of Job is when Satan tells God "hey this job guy is only has faith in you because you put a wall around him," so go wants to test Job's faith, so God puts Job through a series of horrible thing like the death or his children is one of the first things that happens. Job is mad and pissed off but his wife tells him to keep his faith and everything will be fine. After his wife dies his friends tell him that he is cursed by God but he keeps his faith even until Job himself is about to die. In the end Job becomes even more rich and has a new family.

The major theme of the book of Job is to have faith in a God and stay loyal to your religion. It teaches us that no matter what is happening to you to keep your faith and in the end it will turn out good, for instance Job at the end was restored to full health, became even richer that he was before and had a new family with a new wife. For Job in the end God pulled through and helped him out, so this teaches us to have faith the whole way through the journey and god will pull through.

The second major theme of the book of Job is that not everything is God's fault in the world. For Job it could have been his sons, wife, and even his health was not god's fault it is just something that happens naturally in nature and no one can fix it. For example a modern day equivalent is a natural disaster, like a hurricane. God did not send this on the world it was caused by nature something God does not change and we should just keep believing so in the end once its over God will help you out in the long run, for example being healed, finding your family, etc.

An example similar to Job is Joshua. Joshua is brother to 11 others and the favorite of his father. His brothers get jelous and throw him in a pit then sell him into slavery. He eventually comes to the palace and becomes the pharaoh's right hand man. He is thrown in jail when the Pharaoh's wife lies and says that job wanted to sleep with her. Joshua keeps his faith even when he is in Jail and alone. He keeps his faith till then end till the point where he gets out and becomes pharaoh's right hand man again and reconnects with his brothers. He becomes family again and it all ends good. This is really similar to Joshua because they have horrible things happen to them and both keep faith and loyalty towards God. In the end great things happen to both of them even ending with one of them becoming a dream reader.

I almost 100% agree with the moral of this book for a couple reasons. Number one reason is that it teaches us always to keep faith and never give up on God. If we have faith we will always hope and hope is a wonderful thing that should never be taken away from us because we need it to survive and if we have hope it will keep us sane.

Another reason i agree with this story is it teaches us that the richest, most powerful can fall to their weakest just as easy as a normal person also vise versa, if you are poor and have no family you can rise up and become one of rich and you can always fall. One of the only reasons i don't agree with it is because this teaches that if you have faith it doesn't keep u safe like God promised the Hebrews. I feel if we have faith God should watch over us and keep us all safe from natural disasters or deaths. I know that god cannot make everything perfect but he could have helped job a little before his family died.

In conclusion to the book of Job teaches us to keep faith in God just like Job did. We should never think we are above natural things that happen in the world and know that not everything is god's fault. We need to be like job and good things will come to us but bad thing can happen before good and not to have faith just because of riches and fortune. Lastly i think that God could do more for us if he is really up there but he should let fate play out and see what will happen.
