There have been many famous people that changed the world of math. Albert Einstein was one of the few that had a major impact. He is considered the Father of the Atomic Age. He also had many contributions to science that transformed the modern world. He won a Nobel Prize in Physics and in Time Magazine’s Person of the Century in 1999. Einstein passed away here in Princeton, NJ. He was also mostly remembered for his theories on nuclear power, overall he made contributions to the field of mathematics, physics, and science. He was born on March 14, 1879 in Germany. He was considered a special child because he did not start speaking until he was seven years old. Soon after he was born, his family moved to Munich and that is where he began his schooling. Throughout all of his time in school, he always excelled in Mathematics and physics. Einstein was awarded a PhD by the University of Zurich because he served as a pro-forma advisor. He worked alongside, Alfred Kleiner, who was the professor of Experimental Physics. That same year, he published four groundbreaking papers on the photoelectric effect. This is what brought him to notice of the academic world, at the age of 26. April 17, 1955, Einstein suffered from internal bleeding that caused a rupture of an abdominal aortic aneurysm. When he died he stated, “I want to go when I want. It is tasteless to prolong life artificially. I have done my share, it is time to go. I will do it elegantly.” At the age of 76, Albert Einstein died in Princeton Hospital early the next morning. He continues to spread knowledge to today’s society through the hundreds of books and articles. He had more than 300 scientific papers and 150 non-scientific papers published. He was one of many that changed the world of mathematics forever.
