My issue is that with low nurse shortage patients can be in danger and can die from a treatable sickness. It’s important because nurses are responsible for the patient’s health, and if they don’t do their job right they can put their health in danger. An important word is shortage because there aren’t enough nurses, so they are trying to hire people to work with them. Some information associated with this is that 92% of emergency rooms are reported by patient overcrowding. From all those patients 95% of them would probably survive. Approximately they need more than half a million new nurses in 2025. Nurse shortage can affect a patient’s health, and they can put them in danger.

One way a nurse puts a patient in danger is that they can get tired and make medical mistakes. An example is that they can record their information wrong, and they will put into the system like that. They can also write down the medicine they take wrong, and they will end up giving them the wrong medicine. Then if a patient takes the wrong medicine they will end up at the emergency room. That's why nurses should be careful about what they prescribe so they can get better.

Another way a nurse puts a patient in danger is that they take a long to see a patient. Since there aren't enough nurse's some of them have to work for longer hours and examine a lot of patient's. So then nurses can get tired, but the patient needs medical assistance. There can be a person that needs more attention because they are sicker if they don't check that person they can get worse. Then the patient can die from a sickness that can be treated.

Lastly, a nurse puts a patient in danger because they don't clean the work area where they check the patients. If they don’t then the person that was in there before they can be sick of something and then they can’t get that sickness too. They should also clean the equipment they use on the patients because it can have germs and a person can get an infection from it. An example of sickness is Ebola like what if somebody has this and goes into the workplace then the next patient that goes there can get and die from that. Another common sickness is the flu the person should use a facemask to prevent from spreading to others.

Some people think that nurse shortage doesn’t put patients in danger because nurses can change shifts, and another nurse can check a patient. Then when the nurse does this they will make fewer mistakes. They are responsible for the patient’s health and should keep them safe so they don’t get hurt or sicker. Each patient should get the same amount of time to get checked up so they don’t suffer and die. Nurses get tired because they can make some mistakes and some people can agree to this because it’s true.

Nurse shortage can affect a patient’s health, and they can put them in danger. One way a nurse puts a patient in danger is that they can get tired and make medical mistakes. Another way a nurse puts a patient in danger is that they take a long to see a patient. Lastly, a nurse puts a patient in danger because they don’t clean the work area where they check the patients. We should make an event about nursing so they can give people information about this career and then this can encourage them to become a nurse.
