Rodya Raskolnikov is an ex-student in the Crime and Punishment movie, that lives in the city of St. Petersburg, Russia. When coming out of his room he was thinking and planning on doing something very bad, Raskolnikov had pawned his father's watch at Aliona's house since she was a pawnbroker. Since Rodya knew Aliona had a lot of jewlery worth a lot of money he planned on breaking into her home. Roday planned on murdering her and taking all of her belongings. Aliona helpped out her sister Elisabieta which was her younger sister and was mentally ill. Both of the sisters lived together so what Raskolnikov planned was going to be a little harder than what he expected since most of the time they were always together. Once Raskolnikov found out that Aliona and her sister Elisabieta were not together he broke into the house and murdered Aliona with an ax, that was when her sister walked in and he killed her too.

For one whole week straight Raskolnikov was in bed sick with a fever during that time fram he had forgotten everything that happened. Once he got better he went out to play with one of the cops and foolishly confessed to what he did to the pawnbroker and her sister. He than caught him self and said he was just joking around, there were already quiet a few people that were suspecting him as the murder. Raskolnikov than returns back to his house where his mother and sister are waiting for him, he is not acting quiet like himself and is avoiding conversations. His friend Razumihin starts to suspect that Raskolnikov was guilty of killing the pawnbroker and her sister. Razumihin than leaves with Raskolnikov's mother and sister for the night.

The next morning they all met once again and Raskolnikov is acting like himself again he is able to hold a conversation with out having flash backs of what he had done. Sonia invited them to her father's funeral since he had passed away. After the funeral Raskolivok tells his bestfriend Razumihin that he had some stuff that he had pawned at Aliona's house and wanted to get them back. They went to go see the investigator that was taking care of the crime, the investigator than brings up how Raskolivok wrote an article in a magazine about "ordinary" and "extrodinary" people. The article read that the ordinary people had the right to kill but only if it would help them progress with in themselves.
