Coca-Cola Company which is listed on the NYSE is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, U. S. The company engages in manufacturing, distributing and marketing of non-alcoholic beverage concentrates and syrups in the world. Its main brands are Coke, Fanta, and Sprite. In addition, the company currently offers nearly 400 brands in over 200 countries or territories and serves 1. 5 billion servings each day

Of its brands that the company has developed lately are flavored tea Nestea, Fruitopia fruit drink and Dasani mineral water. Coca-cola Company has subsidiaries in all its five trade regions namely, North America, Europe, Eurasia and Africa, Pacific, and Latin America. The Coca-Cola Company and subsidiaries is only involved in producing syrup concentrate which is then sold to various bottlers throughout the world, who hold a Coca-Cola franchise. The Coca-cola bottlers produces finished product in cans and bottles from the concentrate in combination with filtered water and sweeteners.

The bottlers, who hold exclusive territorial rights, then sell and distribute Coca-Cola products to distributors, vending machines and retail stores. The Coca-Cola Company was founded in 1880’s by a physician, Dr. John Stith Pemberton, and was originally established as the J. S. Pemberton Medicine Company, a co-partnership between Dr. John Stith Pemberton and Ed Holland.
