It is exhibited in one of a tremendous museum in the world called the Louvre, which is located in Paris, France. The author of Mona Lisa is an Italian artist called Leonardo da Vinci. The picture was created in 1503 (Scailliérez, 2010). The picture's magnificence cannot be described just in words. To be more specific, the more one looks at it, the more he or she fonds of it. The work express some special charm and beauty. The reason is that Giaconda's splendid face radiates calm and charming smile, which can impress anyone.

It is necessary to explain the dimensions of Mona Lisa painting. It is a small picture as it is 30 inches tall. Mona Lisa is depicted sitting on a low chair (Scailliérez, 2010). Her body is returned to the left side while her right hand rests on her left forearm. She is located at a slight angle to the viewer while her brown eyes look directly on a viewer. Her brown hair is split on a parted in the middle and combed smoothly to the temples while splendid and soft curls falling over her shoulders. In addition, there is a transparent veil, which draped over her head and twisted over her shoulders (Mona Lisa, 2015). She wears a dress, which initially is green with a deep neckline. The dress has lighter sleeves that probably were yellow a long time ago.

In the background, there is a fantastic landscape with mountains and hills that were pictured in soft and warm tones. Also, there is the bright sky over the landscape. There are two columns on the edges of the landscape that are covered by the current frame of the picture. This work is perfect in each single detail; however, its competitive edge is a person, which depicted on it. She litteraly grab people's attention and force them to spend, at least, a few minutes in order to understand the deepness of Giaconda's glance.

It would be proper to compare Mona Lisa with a portrait created in the other timer period. For example, Portrait of P. Tretyakov produced by Ilya Repin, in 1883. Although the work of Repin deserves a praise, the picture, which had been created by Leonardo da Vinci, surpasses portrait of Repin almost in all respects. Primarily, Mona Lisa has an ideal proportion. Moreover, her eyes were drawn in such a way that Mona Lisa always track the viewer in spite the side of his location. Meanwhile, the advantage of Repin's picture is the fact that he managed to express the character of Tretyakov with the highest precision.

In conclusion, the paper represented the investigation and deep analysis of the picture called Mona Lisa, which was created by Leonardo da Vinci. In addition, there was introduced the comparison between Mona Lisa and Portrait of P. Tretyakov, which was created in 19th century. According to the analysis, it can be concluded that Mona Lisa is a perfect creation that surpasses all the pictures in the history of the word due to its ideal proportion and character of Giaconda. Perhaps, it is the reason why the picture is invaluable.
