Through out the years we have seen director Nick Cassavetes produce amazing masterpieces and tear jerking films that ignite every feeling you wouldn't think could be possible to feel all at once. Films such as The Note Book, a love warming but also heart breaking tragedy that leaves you with so much to think about but yet fulfils every expectation you had to start with. My Sisters Keeper tells a story of a loving devoted family, and parents that will do anything to try and cure daughter Kate (Sophia Vassilieva) from leukemia. My Sister Keeper is an emotional movie with great character development filled with heart warming and emotional scenes.

Starting to run out of options mother Sara (Cameron Diaz) decides to have Anna (Abigail Breslin) through vitro-fertilization. She then tries to save Kate's life, while Anna has to go through practically donating her body for her older sister. Anna then takes it into her own hands to get help from lawyer Campbell Alexander (Alec Baldwin) to medically emancipate herself and finally be set free.

Cameron Diaz as Sara Fitzgerald (mother) takes the cake with her compassion, motivation, and devotion in this film. She performs multiple heart wrenching scenes in which you can't help but put yourself in her shoes as a mother. Jason Patric who plays the Brian Fitzgerald (father) goes through having to realize what's best for both his daughters. Patric plays gives a great performance as a conflicted father who starts to realize what his wife is doing isn't right, and has to deal with the consequences for both himself and his wife.

Finally, Kate encounters real life love, when she meets Taylor Ambrose (Thomas Dekker). She finally gets to live the teenage romance that she never expected, which leads her to wanting to let go and excepting the fact that she is ready for what has been long over due in her eyes.

My Sisters Keeper did a great job on depicting the characters and developing them. The actors did something more than real and unexpected. The actors casted for this movie were incredible and did a spectacular job in putting themselves in a position of a grieving family yet trying to stay strong and not breaking apart from each other. I hope to see more movies like this one from director Nick Cassavetes in the near future to once again capture my eye and pull my heartstrings.
