Communication 103, Public Speaking, is my first communication class. It indicates what I've learned in this class will be my most based of public speaking skill, and it will also help my speaking in future. The most influence concepts thorough all assignment in the class are diverse audience and informative speaking, and audience is based on these concept. By the concepts of diverse audience and informative speaking, I built up my base of public Speaking; it is audience, and how these had worked on my assignment and these will affect on me in the future.
One of the most important elements that I learned during this class was diverse audience. Diverse audience for a public speaker refers to genders, environments, background, cultures, and interesting. The differences in race, language, ethnicity, values systems, religion, and local cultures that make up various groups in a community also account for the diversity.
These differences make audience feel and think different as speech. In my second speech, my topic was that decision making is important to me in my life. My audiences were Japanese, and the age range is more evenly distributed between 18 years old and 56 years old. So I forced on the send a real message that I would like to say. It is more difficult for young people to understand real meaning of decision making than 56 years old because they did not had much less situation that they did decision making than 56 years old.

Therefore, I gave my audience thinking time that they think what is decision making by asking many questions. By asking questions and answers that were match for each audience age, I gave the real meaning of decision making. On the other hand, I learned in there are diverse speaker. Cultural norms in Japan do not value talkativeness, and the Japanese tend not to be outspoken. Japanese speakers tend to be less forceful and dynamic than US speakers are because they do not attention to themselves.
In order to achieve your purpose of speech, you should satisfy the audience with something in which they are interested. I thought that that means this Japanese speaking style match for Japanese audiences, and I used Japanese speaking style. Thus, it is important to know what your audience is interested in and cultures, and what their expectations are and even what mood they are in because there are these differences in each other.
One of the most important elements that I learned during this class was informative speech. Informative speeches, while valuable, often run the risk of being quite boring for an audience. This is because informative speeches generally include, for example, a lot of facts, statistics, how-to, instructions and definitions. To keep audience interesting, a speaker can analyze the audience and use appropriate language, and explaining the importance of the topic and be specific are important for speaking. In my third speech, I focus on these points, especially explaining the importance of the topic and specific because I could not do them in my second speech. That means I reduced audience interesting in my second speech. My audiences were Japanese, but I had to have speech in English, so I used language that they understand easily and chose topic thinkable easily. My topic was about the game, but I tried not to use specific words.
