Anxiety is a diffuse, vague, highly unpleasant feeling of a fear and dread. There are individuals who have high levels of anxiety disorder, they worry a lot but their anxiety does not necessarily impair their ability to function. Anxiety disorders are psychological disorders that feature motor tension, hyperactivity and apprehensive expectations and thoughts. Anxiety disorder is a kind of disorder that we might experience in our daily lives. Anxiety disorder is uncontrollable.

Based on what I have read, there are five types of anxiety disorder. First is the Generalized Anxiety Disorder, it consists of persistent anxiety that we’ve experience. People who have Generalize anxiety disorder are nervous most of the time because they are worried in thinking a lot of things even in simple things they will do and they may worry more than seems warranted about actual events or may expect the worst even when there is no apparent reason for concern. Sometimes just the thought of getting through the day produces anxiety. People with GAD don’t know how to stop the worry cycle and feel it is beyond their control, even though they usually realize that their anxiety is more intense than the situation warrants.

The victims of panic disorder are seized by fear that the will die, go crazy or do something that they cannot control their self. They also feel that they are having a heart attack. In many instances, a stressful life event occurred in the 6months prior on the onset of panic disorder, most often a threatened or an actual separation from our loved ones so that we are panicking in our emotional feels it cause an extremely fear and unable to think normally.

Third type is a Phobic Disorder it is an anxiety disorder which the individual has an irrational, overwhelming, persistent fear of a particular object or situation. It is commonly called Phobia. A fear becomes a phobia when a situation is so dreaded that an individual goes to almost any length to avoid it. Phobias are fears that are uncontrollable, disproportionate and disruptive. Phobias came in many forms. Some of the most common phobias involve is the social situation. Social phobia is an intense fear of being humiliated or embarrassed in social situations. Individual with this phobia is afraid that they will say or do the wrong thing. As a consequence, they might avoid speaking up in a conversation, giving speech, going out to eat or attending in a party. People who have their own phobia are passing through medication to reduce their phobia.

The fourth anxiety disorder is the Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. An individual who has anxiety provoking thoughts that will not go away and urges to perform repetitive, ritualistic behaviors to prevent or produce some future situations. This kind of anxiety disorder is difficult to come up because of their curiosity popping up in their mind anytime and anywhere in addition to this OCD dwell on normal doubts and they repeat their routines and sometimes they repeat a hundred times a day because of their obsessiveness. A person’s level of OCD can be anywhere from mild to severe, but if left untreated, it can limit his or her ability to function at work or school or even to lead a comfortable existence at home or around others.

Past-Traumatic Stress Disorder is the last type of an anxiety disorder it is a disorder that develops through exposure to a traumatic event, severely oppressive situation, severe abuse and natural and unnatural disorder. Most individual who exposed to a traumatic stressful event experienced some symptoms. PTSD is caused war, violence, abuse, accidents and even natural disaster. It is also normally considered incurable because most of these stresses involved a rooted deep in the psyche, beyond the reach of most therapeutic methods.

The impact of these stresses can be reduced significantly and sometimes rapidly with the practice medication. Trauma can leave us struggling and upsetting emotions, memories that won’t go away. It can also leave you a feeling numb and disconnected and unable to trust other people. When bad things happened, it can take a while to get over the pain and feel safe again. While in traumatic events can happen to anyone there are risk factor that make some of us more likely to experience but sometimes most people recover in this disorder with the help of their family, friends, and the effective treatment medication.

I’ve learned in this journal and case study the family is very important in the recovery of a person with an anxiety disorder. Ideally, the family should be supportive and avoid perpetuating their loved one's symptoms. Relatives should not trivialize the disorder or demand improvement without treatment when a family member suffers from a different anxiety disorder, it's helpful to be patient about any progress and acknowledge successes, no matter how small and meditation can help people with anxiety disorders calm themselves and may enhance the effects of therapy.
