Dear Future Me,
I do hope that things are going a lot better for you than they are right now. I hope that you are happier and less annoyed with life in general. I hope you are doing work that makes you wake up every morning with a smile. I didn't mean for that first sentence to be so gloomy. I'm doing well considering this is my first semester in college, which is said to be the hardest.
I admit that adapting here has been very hard, especially when you lose your best friend who you thought would be there to help you through it all. How is he doing, by the way? Has he called? What is he doing now? Apart from the hard adaptation, I would say that I am doing better in college than I expected. All my classes are pretty easy except for one that I am convinced is going to be DEADLY for me. Sorry, that was a bit dramatic...., but seriously, anatomy and physiology is by far my most difficult subject. I regret not taking this subject in high school, even if it was only an elective. I feel like I am sinking in this class.

Everyone else seems to be okay except me. I am in a nursing course, which is also very intimidating. Most of the people in the class know each other because they take other classes together. I know only one person in this class and he is doing very well in his exams. I have asked him to prepare me for the next exam where I need to score 75-80 points to be able to get a C. Though in all other classes I am doing very well :) So there is something to smile about. Chemistry is given much easier than I expected. But public speaking is probably my favorite subject. I like Professor Defoss. She is so open and easy to talk to and my classmates are all very nice.
Even though I absolutely hate the night classes that last two and a half hours, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this subject. I think English composition is okay. It is a pretty intense class, but Professor Holding is a great teacher. My classes in the freshman program are also pretty cool. We do interesting projects and once they took us out to eat. Mark and Najiba are also easy to communicate with.
They have a very cool attitude, which I really like. The one thing I wish I had done differently in college was NOT working two jobs. I worked at Panera and studied at JumpStart. I don't how I managed to combine those two jobs for two months (which felt like an eternity). Maybe that's why my AP grade is not where I want it to be.
This job at Panera caused me much stress than I already had and it wasn't worth it. I eventually quit after a few more weeks of trying. They kept putting me on the schedule even after I quit two weeks later, and then I told them I wasn't going to show up for work anymore. I hope they stopped clocking me in because I haven't shown up for about two weeks now. Anyway, Future Me, I hope you're now thinking to yourself that all the hard work that Present Me has put in has finally paid off. I hope that if you read this in the future, you smile because you are proud of the person you have become.
Love,
Present Self
