College textbooks are the foundation for the curriculum both for teachers and students. I believe students would benefit the most from a classroom set of textbooks as they are a crucial part of our education. Additionally, it would be helpful both for teachers and students to use for support and another source of information. The reason why I am so passionate about this belief is because I receive no financial aid therefore the cost of purchasing college textbooks comes out of pocket.

I believe providing college classrooms with a set of textbooks would benefit college students the most. Instead of having to purchase books individually the book would have been provided by the college. Generally, college students are recent high school graduates and are more than likely working for the first time; making them use their hard-earned money to pay for textbooks is just wrong. I believe college students have other priorities/bills to manage with their paycheck, not textbooks. Not having to worry about textbook costs would lead to students being more at ease. I believe a classroom set of textbooks would profit students the most.

I believe textbooks are the most valuable learning resource that students use for gaining proficiency. Being crucially important in the learning process and a necessary material, it would only make sense for colleges to provide the textbook. College professors use textbooks as support and credibility for their lectures and classroom. Students use textbooks for reference, examples, and to better comprehend the material being taught to them. Having the textbook in the form of a classroom set, makes the textbooks readily available for anytime the student feels the need to use one. I believe textbooks showcase material in ways that can make it easier for a student to understand. I have a strong belief that college textbooks are a necessary material in the world of learning.

Not receiving financial aid makes attending college vastly expensive. Not only do I have to worry about tuition, but also about purchasing the necessary textbooks for each class. In colleges today, teachers are not only requesting one but multiple textbooks. Buying one to two textbooks for multiple classes can add up rapidly. This semester alone I have spent over five hundred dollars in just textbooks. I believe no student should have to pay that much for textbooks. I believe that if the student is willing to sign himself/herself for college, the college should put in their part and at least provide a classroom set of textbooks. I believe I speak for every student that does not receive financial aid when I say this, we demand a classroom set of textbooks.

I believe and have no doubts that a classroom set will benefit teachers and students equally.
