One transition in my life that I have already been through had occurred about six yearsago when I transferred schools. Although I was young and change was probably normal for me, it was still pretty hard. I have always been in public school until the fifth grade when I had to transfer to a Catholic school because of some unknown issues. It was hard at the beginning because I had no experience being a student in a Catholic school. Everything was really different. However, I gradually managed to adapt to it and actually started to enjoy it.

However, when I first left public school, I was really upset. I had to say goodbye to all my friends, teachers, and the "freer" feeling. I was so sure that this won't be a good experience and I was angry at my parents for it. At the first day in Catholic school, I was really scared. I didn't know anyone or anything.

There were stricter rules, a uniform policy, fewer students and teachers, and it was a whole, new different place from where I used to go. All the lessons taught were more difficult. I didn't know anyone there and I was afraid to meet new people, therefore I was usually alone. I felt pretty sad and I really disliked it. However, I didn't tell my parents, not wanting them to be disappointed in me. I also knew that they did this for my own good and did this in order for me to have a good and proper education.

After about a few months in fifth grade, I actually made a few friends and everything was already normal to me. I was used to wearing the same clothes every day, I was used to the works and lessons given and taught, and I was used to being in this "old-new" school. Because there are fewer students and fewer teachers, I seem to get more attention than when I was in public school. I actually learned more and my grades were getting higher.

I know I said I would dislike the experience, but I was wrong. Although it was sad to let go of my old friends and my old school, some good things did come out of it. And it's good that I transferred that time when I was younger because I think it's easier to face change at a younger age. And because I transferred to Catholic school, I learned more than before and I felt that I've changed due to the harder lessons taught, the more works given, and the higher level of disciplinary. This transition in my life was a big change but was also filled with opportunities.

Because of it, I am able to get into a good high school and possibly a good college. So this transition was actually a great and beneficial experience for me and I would say I am better off now after this change. And the first day in Catholic school, I was really scared.
