Imagine you would be a hero, what would you do to change the world, would you give your life into hands of other people just to make your siblings happy? A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself. A fictional hero, Max Kane, from the honourable novel Freak the Mighty, changed his life at the appearance of a small boy, there is also Nelson Mandela a very valorous person in the pastime of South Africa, and Rosa Parks she was a person who learned allot about discrimination of the black population.
In the novel Freak the Mighty by Rodman Philbrick, Max Kane displays a very consistent and fearless boy. For example in chapter 7, Max and Freak went to the festival park to watch the fireworks. The first time in Freaks life, Freak saw fireworks. Later Tony and his gang walked over to them, so Freak says "cretin at two o'clock"(Philbrick 34). Afterwards he says "two more at three o'clock, run run" (Philbrick 34).These two quotes show that max and Freak work together as a team, because he is consistent without Freak, but he gets fearless with freak and his mental work. They ran to the pond but then they see no other opportunity than Jumping into the pond, if they want to stay alive. Then they had to swim fast but they were too slow, Tony was near behind them with a knife. Finally there was a light shining into his eyes, it was the police. They helped them out, and brought them home safely. This illustrates Max as a very courageous, and sometimes fearless boy, that wants to show what he can, but never is allowed to.
Nelson mandela was a very valorous and loyal person. One example proving this point is that he fighted allot against apartheid. Which means that he wanted to stop the discrimination situation in africa. He even joined the ANC also known as the National Executive Committee in 1945. This is something Mandela said after his freeing from the 11 February 1996 "I have fought against white domination, and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die," Britannica. This illustrates Mandela as a very courageous and honourable past president.

Rosa Parks was a very confident and determined Human activist. For example she refused to give her seat to a white man in 1955, because she wanted to initiate the civil rights movements in the USA. All together including the black community they organized a bus boycott. It was led by the young Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and it lasted more than a year. As she came out from court she said "I have learned over the years that when one's mind is made up, this diminishes fear; knowing what must be done does away with fear," Wikipedia. This illustrates her as a very strong and compassionate person.
Thats how different heros change the world in different ways. Max overall got a person who never wanted to get bullied again, Nelson Mandela did all he could to make the discrimination stop and Rosa Parks understood the different sides of discrimination including the change a single person can make. The discrimination of black people stopped over the years, and every one should sometimes act as a hero even though they don't represent one.
