" by Brian Dean, he uses the rhetorical question "How can you despise ease and laziness then not feel guilty when you take a rest? ' to allow the readers to answer the question in their mind and get them thinking about the topic. The reader gets the point of the article clearly by answering the question in their heads without the author having to state it directly.

Brian Dean leads the reader, with this rhetorical question, to realize that we all have something inside of us that keeps us from slowing down and relaxing. Then, Dean goes on to explain why we do have these beliefs and what is programmed inside of us to believe it is right. I tried the challenge given by the author and failed very quickly! I only could do it for approximately 1 hour and 48 minutes.
