I decided to choose a movie to write essay 2 because it is amazing how much. You can relate to a character or the events and conversations in a story. Brought to life from real occurrences, a script, or book, to a screen. Nothing worth having comes easy. In order to achieve your dreams, one's need dedication and passion, vision, lots of motivation. And enthusiasm, that impulse and encouragement that comes deep from the heart. My movie title is "The Pursuit of Happyness" (yes, with a Y) not only for. Its amazing storyline and outstanding performances by Will Smith and his young son, but also because it was inspired by real life events.

It is about persistence. And about never giving up, no matter how hard things are, no matter how lonely. Rejected, forgotten and ignored you feel, you have to keep going. Keep trying and accepting that failures and mistakes are part of life, it is what it will help to pave the way to success. It was very interesting that the movie was also about being successful in the business world. The challenging and risky, daring and powerful business environment. Where building up relationships, creating new ideas and interacting with strangers and business partners is part of what makes a company grow. Intelligence and math skills, of course, is a must, that was how Chris Gardner (Will Smith), was first noticed, by simply solving a Rubik's cube toy at a taxi cab that day.

This man was pushed by his dreams, by wanting and constant vision for the well-being of his young son, it was very painful to see the many times he was rejected by potential clients and denied help by some friends. He always had faith and did not give up, shortcomings, hardships and troubles came his way, he even went through homelessness but did not stop, did not flinch at these situations, did no harm to anyone and continue working on his way to success, loving his child, trying his best. I think he knew all along that he was the perfect candidate for the position at Wall Street, did not do this entirely for the money, he decided to keep working on the business because he believed in himself.

Chris Gardner taught his young son valuable lessons of consistency and love, dedication and courage, to always believe in your dreams, to protect them and not to allow anyone to tell him otherwise. It amazes me that he would wake up every day with the mood to succeed, to accomplish that goal, to be better and to learn more.

This film is very inspiring to me, I was still in College when I watched it for the first time and I was just very into my career in my country and I was very determined to graduate with honors and not just stay there with a College diploma. I knew that I wanted to learn more and to expand my knowledge to different levels (graduate schools, after-college programs, Masters Degree), I knew that it was not going to end there for me after I graduated back in 2008. It is never too late to go back to school, all it takes is motivation, positivism, confidence and faith in yourself, putting God first to help you go where you want to go. In "The Pursuit of Happyness" Chris Gardner never gave up and was a successful business man, he accomplished his goals and his whole life changed, it is a beautiful thing that he did not complain in the process, like if he knew that it was not the end, he smiled to himself and gave his best performing with honesty and efficiency.

It does not matter where we come from nor what level of education we have at the moment, we can always obtain anything we set our minds to, perseverance is the key, no fear and doubts, waking up with a happy thought and with the idea of being already at the grasp of our goals, we can always be better and get the opportunity of our lives, to triumph over the adversities and pass over the bumps on the road, nothing can block our way if we are lead by our dreams. This movie, this character, this person Mr. Gardner, is a very rich source of motivation and inspiration, about continuing moving forward, no matter what.
