Tupac was always criticized because of his views on the issues of the world. Because of his criminal background, reporters would refer to him as a trouble maker. When Tupac was alive, hs criticism was more negative than positive. If you ask older generations about Tupac they would call him names like "Thug", "Gangster rapper", or a "Hoodlum". Others would say his apparel is not presentable. Mom always said not judge a book by its cover.
I think that Tupac was positive role model for making mankind realize the issues going on in the world. In one of his songs "changes", he stated, "We gotta start makin' changes, learn to see me as a brother 'stead of 2 distant strangers." He was explaining that the world is filled with violence and danger and mankind needs to come together to fight. People that sat down and listened to his song made them change for the better. Realization is always positive.
People never understood Tupac and his philosophy on life. Some people listened to the media and were ignorant of who he really was. Societies confused him for a thug rapped about negativity, but in reality rapped about causes to motive the youth. Analyst thought he was a part of the "east & west coast" tension but he just didn't trust anybody after he got shot.

In my opinion, he had a great sense of poetry. Most of his poems were filled with ethos and pathos throughout his life. You could feel all the pain and hurt he went through that angered him. Growing up poor and not as fortunate as other children made embarrassed and sad as a boy who got "pants". In some his poems, he would write about love and peace. He pictured a world where all races were together and he could finally find the love of his life. You never just find thug that write poems with strong emotion like him. Some don't even most of his songs was his poetry.
Tupac was very confident when it came to his legacy after died. He knew people would at him in a more relevant way when he died. He would talk about how he would be an international icon after he died. He would tell the record label how he wanted his music released based on the way he died. He said, "Either I had to change the world or the world would change me." He believed he have to be a sacrifice for hip-hop. He believes after his death people would listen to his music and say, "Hey, he said that would happen!" Tupac had his whole life and legacy planned ahead.
People are always quick to criticize Tupac but never know his whole story. Like I said previously, never judge a book by its cover. Critics think of Tupac just as a trouble maker and will never learn. But have you really got to know him in reality or he really listened to what he says? You have to understand the media crucified him like they did Jesus. You might judge him for his appearance but you have to think he's a mainstream hip-hop artist and realize the era of hip-hop he was in. Reporters would describe him in bad ways such as bad-tempered. One thing these ignorant reporters don't know is "why is he this way". Do you know what this man went through as a child? He never had a father in his life, meaning he never really had a man to look up to. His mother raised him on her own with no help, which was a hard struggle. He also has media in his face criticizing him. Most people don't even know it is to have cameras in your face all the time.
Hope the next person reading this will understand Tupac wasn't a bad guy at all. People all across the world look at him as an icon because of his way being a motivation and gave hope despite your ethics or race. Another thing is that Tupac's realizations could change anyone's mindset. Critics also should understand why he had a militant and aggressive behavior. Tupac went through a "hard knock life" from being growing up being economically underprivileged to always getting shot at; even when you're famous. Some people who had dreams of being in the movie industry because of his outstanding acting skills. Some of you might not appreciate him, but legacy and impact on earth is true and real.
